Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Backgammon World processes information needed to provide account, multiplayer, social, messaging, advertising, purchase and notification features.

Information we process

• Account information: email address, authentication identifiers and account status.
• Profile information: nickname, avatar, country/language and profile preferences you choose to provide.
• Game and social data: matches, rating, BIG balance and ledger events, tournament participation, friends, invitations, messages and related safety state.
• Purchase information: product identifiers and purchase verification state. Payment card details are handled by Google Play and are not stored by Backgammon World.
• Device/service data: push notification token, app events needed for reliability, advertising consent/status and anti-abuse/security signals.

How we use information

We use information to provide login and account recovery, multiplayer matches, rankings, tournaments, messaging and friends, restore purchases, deliver notifications, prevent abuse and fraud, maintain service reliability, and show advertising to eligible Free users.

Service providers

Backgammon World may use service providers including Supabase for backend/authentication, Google Play for purchases, Google Mobile Ads for advertising, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, and email delivery providers for transactional account email. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and under their own applicable privacy terms.

Advertising

Free users may see advertising. Where required, consent and privacy choices are presented before personalized advertising is used. Pro users may have advertising removed according to the purchased plan.

Data retention

Account-linked data is kept while the account is active and as needed to operate the service. When an account is deleted, account-linked personal data is deleted or de-identified. Limited records may be retained only where necessary for fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute handling or legal obligations.

Security

We use authenticated access, encrypted HTTPS connections and server-side authorization controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

Your choices

You can change profile and notification settings in the app, manage advertising privacy options when available, sign out, or permanently delete your account.
